In the Thai language, it is usually called nuat phaen thai. Developed by Buddhist monks 2,500 years ago, thai massage consists of a series of interactive, flowing movements, stretches, and rhythmic massage, along all the body's energy lines and pressure points.
Thai massage involves particular stretches and strokes, performed on clothed clients on floor mats or low tables. Treatment involves a combination of acupressure and yoga-like stretching techniques that employs the use of the therapist’s fingers, thumbs, elbows, arms, and feet on the body’s muscles, pressure points, and energy lines.
