Personal Training
Yep, been on lots of diets (haven’t we all?) but sitting on my couch almost a year ago I decided to take the proper path
to enlightenment. I just had a child 8months prior so I was carrying that extra baggage of flab and cellulite (yuck).
No matter what fads we all see/read I think everyone knows deep down inside themselves that the only way to
truthfully lose that excess bulge (and keep it off) is to eat right and exercise. It’s just a matter of taking the first and
most difficult step from all the talk, to actually doing something about it ……..and in saying that, I got off my ass and
gave Mike a call to get the ball rolling.
So here I am, roughly a full year later having lost almost 25 lbs and feeling physically on top of the world.
At 33 I know I have never felt better in my entire life (damn, I should have taken this path years ago).
The hardest part for me (and still is) would have to be appropriate eating. Staying away from the garbage that I have
always been tempted by my whole life is a daily struggle. I have definitely learned that eating right makes a world of
difference in how I feel and my over all energy. Don’t forget the water, and more water. No more caffeine including
coffee, pop, and all those sinful sugary drinks. Nourishing my body every 3-4 hours is probably the key to my
success. Years of conditioning my mind to relating that “not eating” to lose weight was so far from the correct habits I
have now instilled. I have taken up running and generally get out there at least 3 times a week. I also use my exercise
ball from home for a various number of workouts. I train with Mike once a week to keep me in line (and also immobile
for the next couple of days). I think it may be torturous at times but in an exhilarating kind of way. I think this past
year as just the tip of the iceberg for this woman who has caught on to the zest of life.
I am unquestionably the type of individual that desperately needs inspiration in all aspects of my life. Although I take
most of the “splendor” for my hard work and perseverance, I can sincerely say that with out the guidance and pure
encouragement from Mike each week, I don’t think that I would even be writing this note.
Honestly……….if I can do it, ANYONE can (and should)!!!
