Gregg Parris

gregg-parris-l.jpgGregg is a graduate of York University with a Specialized Honours Degree in Kinesiology and Health Science. He also possesses a Certificate in Fitness Assessment and Exercise Counseling which makes him an asset to the fitness & health domain from both a health-related, and sport performance-related perspectives.

As an internationally recognized Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Certified Kinesiologist (CK), and Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP), Gregg has a thorough knowledge of high performance sport and health based fitness training, weight management (gain or loss), and core stability routines. In addition his experience as a Professional Fitness and Lifestyle Consultant (PFLC) gave him insights into offering counseling on lifestyle modification and overall wellness.

Gregg has assisted in the medical and fitness testing for the Toronto Maple Leafs Training Camp and the NHL Entry Drafts. He has also tested Ontario Firefighters, Ontario Hydro Workers, and child athletes. Through these endeavors, Gregg has gained extensive experience in the assessment of physical work capacity for both sport and job-related performance standards.

Coach Parris as his clients affectionately call him, has experience working with clientele of various abilities and fitness levels. As your personalized strength coach, Gregg will assist and motivate you to achieving your goals and improving all areas of your lifestyle. His extensive experience and success with clients symptomatic with low back pain, scapular dysfunction, knee injuries, osteoporosis, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hip replacements, blindness, cancer, polio and obesity make him an invaluable asset to the FUSION Team. His many testimonials show how dedicated and effective he is at getting the best out of his clients. Gregg has appeared in Oxygen Magazine, the MSN Canada website, Global National News and was featured on Entertainment Tonight Canada as a celebrity trainer.

 From a young age, Gregg has had a passion for athletics and knowledge of the functioning of the human body. He lifeguarded for the City of Toronto for over 7 years, competed in the Toronto Lifeguard Championships, and in 2000 received the award For Outstanding Service in a Water-Rescue. Gregg is also a swimming instructor and has designed aquatic training programs.

Coach Parris has great enthusiasm and a passion for fitness, nutrition and health. He loves to see his clients succeed, and monitor the improvement in their fitness level as he helps them to achieve their goals.
